We are extremely pleased that Columbus was chosen for the 2013 Conference! CALEA is an international accrediting organization with nearly 1,000 agency members throughout the world and 73 in Ohio. CALEA’s mission is to promote the best law enforcement practices, through policy management and law enforcement standards compliance. This effort promotes more effective law enforcement, greater public safety, and feelings of well-being within our individual communities. CPD received its initial accreditation award in 1999 and has been reaccredited every three years. OSU PD will be seeking its first accreditation award at the 2013 conference.
