BLOCK-WATCH/NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH/ORGANIZED CRIME PREVENTION GROUP PROGRAMS

Community Liaison Officers are specifically trained and assigned the responsibility of organizing community groups and maintaining liaison with these organizations. Each Community Liaison Officer is assigned to a specific geographic area and drives a specially marked police cruiser. Telephone numbers and corresponding city maps are published to help the community in contacting the appropriate Officer. Residential and business block watch and crime alert programs are available through this function.

Proactive efforts are used via Crime Analysis bulletins and daily police bulletins to contact victims of crime and offer Division services to organize crime prevention groups.
