The Focus on Safety program installed and activated the first photo red light enforced intersection in the City of Columbus in March 2006.
The program has grown to include 38 photo red light enforced intersection and two mobile speed vehicles that are used in school zones, parks, recreation centers and other places where children gather. The Mobile Units are manned and monitored by Columbus Police Officers.
The goal of the Focus on Safety program is to change driver behavior, reduce red light crashes and save lives.
