2/10/2005 - Announcement regarding this webpage:

Due to numerous complaints regarding the quality of reports available by using this page, the Division of Police has begun work on a solution to the problem.  In the near future, reports will be available in "tiff" format (a large, high resolution graphics file, with very high quality images).  Until the programmers successfully complete the project, however, we will be unable to reliably provide accident reports online.

SOME reports are still available (generally those taken prior to January 11, 2005, but not ALL reports taken prior to that date.)  Others are not available at this time.  Unfortunately, we do not have an estimate as to when the transition will be complete.  This means that if you are not able to successfully obtain a copy of your report online, and you need one in the very near future, you will have to come to police HQ to obtain a copy.  Details on how and when you can do that are provided below.

Please check back often, as we hope to have the service back up and running as soon as possible.

Thank you very much for your patience as we try to greatly improve the quality of reports we provide!

Copies of accident reports taken by the Columbus Division of Police that are not available online can be obtained by coming to the Division of Police Records Section.  It is located on the 3rd floor of police headquarters located at 120 Marconi Blvd. Columbus Ohio 43215, and is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM.

One free copy can be obtained in the first floor lobby of headquarters. If more than one copy is needed they can be obtained on the third floor of headquarters for $.05 (a nickel) per page. Reports obtained via our website are free.
